Regard et la production de la \u201cdiff\u00e9rence de sexes\u201d<\/p>\n<p>La perspective, qui guide la narration audiovisuelle, le regard, qui oriente le point de vue, distribuent les positions de sujet et d\u2019objet, \u0153uvrant \u00e0 la construction culturelle des mani\u00e8res de voir (Foster, 1988&#160;; Mitchell, 1994), participant des dispositifs visuels du pouvoir (Foucault, Rajchman), et notamment des dispositifs visuels de genre. Nombreux sont les travaux en \u00e9tude de genre qui se sont ainsi pench\u00e9s sur la structuration masculine du regard (ou <em>male gaze<\/em>, Mulvey, 1975) au cin\u00e9ma et plus largement dans les fictions audiovisuelles, puis l\u2019ont discut\u00e9 \u00e2prement pour s\u2019en d\u00e9tacher (Sedgwick, 2008 [1990]&#160;; Modleski, 2002). Pourtant, r\u00e9cemment, la notion a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9investie par plusieurs autrices. Iris Brey a th\u00e9oris\u00e9 le <em>female gaze<\/em>, soit une fa\u00e7on de filmer les femmes sans en faire des objets de d\u00e9sir (Brey, 2020), tandis que Julia Serano a th\u00e9oris\u00e9 le <em>cis gaze <\/em>pour d\u00e9signer la fa\u00e7on de filmer les trans\u2019 d\u2019une mani\u00e8re qui les objective (Serano, 2007), cette mani\u00e8re se r\u00e9inscrivant dans l\u2019ordre du genre (Beaubatie, 2019), selon lequel les hommes et les femmes trans\u2019 sont film\u00e9\u00b7e\u00b7s diff\u00e9remment. Ces diff\u00e9rents travaux t\u00e9moignent ainsi du caract\u00e8re op\u00e9ratoire de la notion.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Il s\u2019agira, dans le cadre de cette th\u00e8se, d\u2019\u00e9tudier la production de la \u201cdiff\u00e9rence des sexes\u201d dans la fiction contemporaine (cin\u00e9ma, s\u00e9ries t\u00e9l\u00e9vis\u00e9es, webs\u00e9ries, vid\u00e9os circulant dans les r\u00e9seaux sociaux num\u00e9riques) \u00e0 travers la notion de \u201cregard\u201d [<em>gaze<\/em>]. Le doctorant ou la doctorante aura \u00e0 retracer la fa\u00e7on dont la notion de <em>gaze <\/em>a pu \u00eatre conceptualis\u00e9e par les \u00e9tudes cin\u00e9matographiques, les cultural studies et les sciences de l\u2019information et de la communication. Il\/Elle observera la fa\u00e7on dont la notion a pu \u00eatre op\u00e9rationnalis\u00e9e et les observables d\u00e9finis pour en rendre compte (par ex. le mouvement de cam\u00e9ra, la construction du champ\/hors champ, etc.). Dans une perspective communicationnelle, il\/elle \u00e9laborera ensuite un cadre th\u00e9orique et une m\u00e9thode permettant d\u2019\u00e9tudier la fa\u00e7on dont le dispositif visuel produit la \u201cdiff\u00e9rence des sexes\u201d dans la fiction audiovisuelle contemporaine. Il s\u2019agira en particulier d\u2019int\u00e9grer une approche par les m\u00e9diations, qui s\u2019efforce de tenir ensemble forme artistique, syst\u00e8mes de repr\u00e9sentation visuelle, th\u00e9orie esth\u00e9tique, mod\u00e8le \u00e9conomique et rapports sociaux de classe-race-genre. Le doctorant ou la doctorante \u00e9prouvera sa m\u00e9thode sur un corpus de productions audiovisuelles vari\u00e9es. Il s\u2019agira ensuite de comparer ses analyses avec des traitements algorithmiques pour permettre d\u2019\u00e9tablir ce qui est irr\u00e9ductible \u00e0 l\u2019interpr\u00e9tation humaine (ce qu\u2019une machine est incapable de voir) et de comprendre quels peuvent \u00eatre les apports originaux et pertinents des algorithmes pour les t\u00e2ches relevant de l\u2019analyse de corpus.<\/p>\n<h2><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00c0 propos de l\u2019anr tractive<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>TRACTIVE (Towards a computational multimodal analysis of film discursive aesthetics) est un projet ANR coordonn\u00e9 par Lucile Sassatelli, MCF HDR \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur. (Axe&#160;: <em>R\u00e9volution num\u00e9rique&#160;: rapports au savoir et \u00e0 la culture <\/em>&#160;; 2022-2026).<\/p>\n<p>TRACTIVE est un projet interdisciplinaire (informatique, sciences de l\u2019information et de la communication et linguistique) qui vise \u00e0 caract\u00e9riser et quantifier la repr\u00e9sentation du genre et l\u2019objectivation des femmes dans les films et les m\u00e9dias visuels en concevant une analyse du discours multimodal bas\u00e9e sur l\u2019intelligence artificielle. La conception de mod\u00e8le d\u2019apprentissage profond incluant l\u2019expertise des SHS sur des corpus de films, de s\u00e9ries t\u00e9l\u00e9vis\u00e9es et de vid\u00e9os collect\u00e9es sur les r\u00e9seaux sociaux num\u00e9riques entend permettre d\u2019identifier des mod\u00e8les discursifs visuels complexes tels que les r\u00e9gimes scopiques genr\u00e9s (male et female gaze), qui v\u00e9hiculent des repr\u00e9sentations biais\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"margin-top: 12.35pt\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Objectifs de la recherche doctorale<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Faire un \u00e9tat de l\u2019art de la fa\u00e7on dont la notion de <em>gaze <\/em>a pu \u00eatre conceptualis\u00e9e et op\u00e9rationnalis\u00e9e dans les travaux en \u00e9tudes cin\u00e9matographiques, cultural studies et sciences de l\u2019information et de la<\/li>\n<li>\u00c9laborer un cadre th\u00e9orique discutant l\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat de la notion de <em>gaze <\/em>pour l\u2019\u00e9tude de la production de la \u00ab&#160;diff\u00e9rence des sexes&#160;\u00bb par le dispositif visuel des fictions audiovisuelles<\/li>\n<li>Constituer un corpus de productions audiovisuelles vari\u00e9es (films, fictions t\u00e9l\u00e9visuelles, vid\u00e9os diffus\u00e9es dans les RSN).<\/li>\n<li>\u00c9laborer un appareillage m\u00e9thodologique avec l\u2019\u00e9quipe info-com (LabSic, Gripic) pour l\u2019\u00e9tude de la production de la \u00ab&#160;diff\u00e9rence des sexes&#160;\u00bb par le dispositif visuel des fictions audiovisuelles contemporaines (en lien avec l\u2019\u00e9quipe interdisciplinaire).<\/li>\n<li>Annoter les corpus avec l\u2019\u00e9quipe info-com pour participer \u00e0 l\u2019entra\u00eenement des r\u00e9seaux de neurones pilot\u00e9 par les \u00e9quipes d\u2019informaticien\u00b7ne\u00b7s.<\/li>\n<li>Participer \u00e0 la comparaison des analyses r\u00e9alis\u00e9es par les chercheurs et chercheuses et des traitements r\u00e9alis\u00e9s par les algorithmiques.<\/li>\n<li>Contribuer \u00e0 la r\u00e9flexion sur ce qui est irr\u00e9ductible \u00e0 l\u2019interpr\u00e9tation humaine (ce qu\u2019une machine est incapable de voir) et ce que peuvent \u00eatre les apports originaux et pertinents des algorithmes pour les t\u00e2ches relevant de l\u2019analyse de<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"margin-top: 3.25pt;text-align: left\" align=\"left\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Conditions d\u2019\u00e9ligibilit\u00e9<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>S\u00e9lection des projets et audition des candidat\u00b7e\u00b7s<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Les dossiers doivent comporter une lettre de motivation, un projet de th\u00e8se t\u00e9moignant d\u2019une projection dans le sujet propos\u00e9, un CV et le plan ou le m\u00e9moire de M2 (enregistr\u00e9 au format.pdf et intitul\u00e9&#160;: NOM_THESE_TRACTIVE.pdf).<\/li>\n<li>Seuls les projets valid\u00e9s par l\u2019ED de rattachement du doctorant ou de la doctorante pourront \u00eatre examin\u00e9s.<\/li>\n<li>L\u2019attribution du contrat doctoral se fera ensuite sur audition des candidat\u00b7e\u00b7s.
